4. The STAR Narrative
Situation
Post-launch data from Amplitude showed mobile users were 2x more likely to abandon checkout than desktop users. The company was leaving $500K+ monthly revenue on the table.
Task
As Senior PM, I owned the mandate to reduce checkout friction without removing required security fields like CVV and address verification.
Action
I led a 2-week cross-functional sprint with Design and Engineering to implement auto-fill via saved payment methods, real-time validation, and mobile-optimized input fields. We ran 3 design iterations with 5 user research sessions to validate the UX before dev.
Result
Hit the conversion target (2.7%) 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Conversion increased from 2.3% → 2.7% (+17.3%), translating to $2.4M ARR lift. Mobile drop-off fell from 55% → 38% (-31%).
